With regard to weather related closures or a delayed arrival, here is AMEWAS’ policy:

(1) If NAS Patuxent River announces a “delay” in arriving for work, employees may delay their arrival by the number of hours stated. Employees are reminded however, that they may only charge direct hours for hours worked. Delayed hours may not be charged.

(2) If NAS Patuxent River announces that “Liberal Leave” or “Unscheduled Leave” is in effect, employees may take leave without their supervisor’s permission however, they are still required to notify their supervisor of their intentions.
